About Central Bank of Cyprus
The Central Bank of Cyprus is the primary financial regulatory authority in Cyprus responsible for overseeing open banking and financial services. As a National Competent Authority (NCA), they ensure that banks and third-party providers comply with open banking regulations, protecting consumers while fostering innovation in financial services.
SCA Update: On 2 September 2019, the Cypriot regulator announced a temporary enforcement extension for Cypriot cards. The length of the delay or any intermediary milestones have not yet been officially confirmed.
